November 3, 2013 – Tommy Mahoney (’95) of the Boston Bandits earned the First Star ofThe Week for the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League. He logged six assists and a +5 rating over the course of the week. His coach attributed his success to his competitive nature and ability to use his body to protect the puck.
“Tom has really worked hard over the years and has become a good player in all three zones,” said Bandits Head Coach Scott Drevitch. “He uses his big 6’3″ frame and reach and competes hard each game.” (metleague.org)
Tommy skated at our camps all summer long this past summer. He stood out every session due to his tremendous work ethic. He was constantly working on his skills day in and day out. He showed recognizable improvements every week. We were very proud of Tommy’s development at the end of the summer and equally as happy to see him performing so well.
